Returns & Refunds Policy

At JJCK we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our pearl jewelry. We want you to love your purchase, so please read our policy below regarding returns and exchanges.

1. Custom & Bespoke Products

Because custom and bespoke pieces are made specifically to your requirements, we do not offer exchanges or refunds for change of mind on any custom-designed or personalized products. Once the design process has begun or the order has been placed, the sale is final.

2. Change of Mind (Ready-to-Wear)

For our finished, non-custom collections, we offer a 7-day return window for an exchange or store credit, provided that:

  • The item is in its original, unworn condition.

  • The item is returned in its original packaging.

  • You provide a valid proof of purchase (order confirmation email).

Note: For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned unless faulty.

3. Faulty or Damaged Items

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.

A major failure includes:

  • The item is unsafe.

  • The item is significantly different from the description or sample.

  • The item has a manufacturing defect (e.g., a faulty clasp or structural breakage) that would have stopped you from buying it if you had known.

If the problem is minor (e.g., a loose thread or a minor tarnish issue), we will repair the item within a reasonable time or offer a replacement.

4. How to Initiate a Return

Contact Us: Email contact@jjck.com.au with your order number and photos of the item.

Assessment: We will review your request within 2–3 business days.

Shipping: For "change of mind" returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We highly recommend using a tracked service with signature, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit. For confirmed faulty items, we will provide a pre-paid shipping label.

5. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Please note that pearls are organic gemstones produced by living organisms. Because they are formed naturally, no two pearls are identical. * Natural "Birthmarks": Almost all genuine pearls possess minor surface characteristics, such as tiny pits, pinpricks, or subtle ridges (often called "birthmarks").

  • Variation: Variations in luster, overtone, and shape are a testament to the pearl's natural origin and authenticity.

  • Authenticity vs. Perfection: These unique markings are not considered "defects" but are rather a hallmark of a real, high-quality pearl.

By purchasing from JJCK, you acknowledge and accept these natural variations. If you require a perfectly smooth, identical surface, we recommend purchasing imitation or synthetic pearls elsewhere, as our focus is exclusively on the organic beauty of genuine pearls.
